WINKWORTH WEST END

Meet Alex Snr Lettings Negotiator

With a career in real estate spanning since 2017, Alex joined our team in 2022 and has since become our senior negotiator at our West End office. We sat down with Alex to hear about his favourite properties, the areas he loves to let in, and his insights on the rental landscape.

Which recent properties have been your favourites to let? One property that I have often said I would be delighted to live in is the two-bedroom flat we recently rented at Central Saint Giles. At £900 per week, it enjoys a rare and charming outlook onto the greenery surrounding St Giles-in-the- Fields. Its proximity to Soho and Covent Garden, modern design with high-standard fittings, and location adjacent Soho, with its wide variety of restaurants and cafés, lies moments away; Covent Garden, the British Museum, and numerous theatres and historic streets are all within easy walking distance. It is an area where culture, history, to Tottenham Court Road make it exceptionally well situated.

The church of St Giles-in-the- Fields itself has a particularly interesting heritage. Often referred to as the "Poet's Church", it has associations with literary figures such as John Milton and Percy Shelley. The Central Saint Giles development itself further enhances the appeal.

What's your favourite area to let in here in the West End?

Alexandre Von der Muehll Senior Lettings Negotiator

If I had to pick a favourite area to let in the West End, it would be the Lincoln's Inn Fields area. It is a part of London full of character and history, from the Sir John Soane's Museum - a hidden gem open to the public for free, showcasing his eccentric collection - to the law courts with their gas lamps and striking architecture.

On a winter evening, the lights cast a soft glow across the cobbled inns and offices, creating a unique atmosphere, reminiscent of a scene from a Charles Dickens novel (he lived nearby!). Around the corners, you will find centuries-old pubs like The Cittie of Yorke and The Cheshire Cheese, tucked-away courtyards, small gardens, and even luxury portered blocks such as the Lincoln Square development, offering through us modern luxury and comfort in a unique historic setting at £1,700 per week for a 2 bed. Or, should you prefer a 2-bed maisonette tucked away from the square, for £850 per week. Lincoln's Inn Square is one of those rare West End pockets where history, charm, and city life come together naturally, making it always a joy to let properties here.

and excellent dining are effortlessly intertwined.
