Milford Hospital Community Diagnostic Centre - P+HS Architects Milford CDC merits recognition for delivering MRI and CT services to a constrained hospital site in 18 months,shaped by intensive stakeholder engagement. Its calm, light-filled environment, low-carbon systems, and capacityfor 20,000 additional scans annually directly improve cancer diagnosis, relieve acute hospitals, and serve the localcommunity effectively locally. NCIC Endoscopy Cumberland Hospital - Actiform Actiform should win this project for delivering a truly bespoke modular healthcare facility that feels permanent, nottemporary. Through strong collaboration with the client and stakeholders, we applied design-led MMC to overcomecomplex site constraints, minimise disruption, and deliver a high-quality, compliant building that improves patientcare and staff experience. This project demonstrates a pioneering use of MMC, delivering Europe’s largest elective orthopaedic centre faster,safer, and more sustainably. Thoughtful design, clinical innovation, high-quality aesthetics and collaborative deliveryhave transformed patient care and staff experience, while setting a benchmark for modular healthcare projects inthe UK.
