Not every school has the resources to provide all teachers with ongoing access to an instructional coach or school leader. Peer Coaching addresses this challenge by equipping all teaching staff with the coaching skills and structures to work collaboratively with one another, making the benefits of coaching accessible to everyone, not just a few. This course introduces a reciprocal cycle of peer coaching conversations grounded in the principles of partnership and trust. Classroom video is used as a powerful, non-evaluative tool to help teachers build a clear picture of their practice, set student-centred goals and monitor progress together. The result is a school-wide professional learning culture that is rigorous, collaborative and sustainable. The course follows a hybrid delivery model across four modules. Module 1 is a 90-minute online introductory workshop covering the foundations of coaching and peer coaching, and preparing participants for in-school Peer Coaching Scale the power of coaching across your whole staff — one peer partnership at a time.

Module 3 is a full-day workshop exploring how teachers build a clear picture of classroom reality, set goals and develop sustainable peer coaching practice. Module 4 is a 90-minute online follow-up workshop providing solutions-focused implementation review and extension of peer coaching skills.
