ABOUT GROWTH COACHING INTERNATIONAL
HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE
The GCI story began in the first years of the 21st Century when executive coaching was in its infancy. From humble beginnings in 2002, as a small Aus - tralian team with a shared conviction that coaching could transform education communities, GCI has grown into a globally impactful organisation and recognised leader in our field. Today our team of professionals deliver coaching, training and consultancy across four continents, in government and independent schools, early childhood and tertiary settings, and with a growing number of corporate clients seeking our expertise in adult learning and development. Our purpose is to enhance the quality of conversations in organisations. We believe that when everyone communicates well — with curi- osity, empathy and genuine intent — learning, motivation and wellbeing increase. Coaching, and a coaching approach to working and leading, is the most powerful vehicle we know to make that happen. We are proud to be a mature, established provider with a proven track record. Our course evaluations, coach feedback and participant testimonials consistently point to significant positive impact, not only on professional practice, but on the personal lives of those we work with. There is now a substantial and growing body of empirical research supporting the effectiveness of coaching, and our work is firmly grounded in it. Our values shape everything we do: we seek to be collaborative, research-informed and practitioner-fo - cused, generous, impactful, practical, empathetic and positive.
This guide is organised into sections that reflect the different dimensions of GCI’s work .
