From new roadways to residential neighbourhoods, it’s vital municipalities have qualified, regulated engineering and geoscience professionals on the team for their infrastructure projects. We undertook an information campaign in 2021 to ensure local governments understood why APEGA licensed engineers and geoscientists are essential for public safety and sustainability. We advertised in local newspapers and online, and we reached out to chief administrative officers at approximately 400 municipalities across Alberta. STANDARDS MATTER
