BOARDS AND COMMITTEES APEGA’s boards and committees assist in our governance and operations. The skilled engineering and geoscience professionals who serve on these panels are volunteers who have a direct impact on public safety in Alberta. Statutory committees and boards are required by the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act . They help APEGA uphold high standards of engineering and geoscience practice in Alberta. Joint boards and committees with the Association of Science and Engineering Technology
Professionals of Alberta (ASET) work together to protect the public by regulating professional technologists under the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act .
