Facilities Manager

Hybrid working - between a Ronald McDonald House Charities UK base and home working
Contract: Permanent; Full time. 35 hours per week
Job Purpose: To maintain the Houses in good repair and condition. To ensure statutory compliance, due diligence and best practice in relation to maintenance, repair, Health and Safety. Ensuring there is minimal down time that will impact the Service Delivery team and our families. Undertake timely minor works, long term maintenance and replacement projects. Key Responsibilities will include: Management of reactive and planned works via our internal systems Prioritisation of routine and planned maintenance tasks as per contracts Accuracy of all service records for invoicing purposes which includes authorisation of any additional costs Action plan completion Financial control and discipline including budget proposals Project management and collaboration with building consultants, including planning, design and documentation in place Health and Safety compliance and other legislation is followed consistently e.g. fire detection, Legionella Cross departmental collaboration to ensure consistency of service Maintains good working relationships and a consistent communicator Routinely visits sites to record findings and manage outstanding actions Offers support and best practice guidance Is available on any potential out of hours emergency support where needed Collation of data to present findings to the Charity Leadership team Assist with resourcing of contractors and suppliers, building on new and existing relationships Organise quotes and tenders from vendors, contractors and service providers Complete pre-start meetings and regular client meetings and updates Utilising external professional teams where required A good understanding of Construction Design Management regulations Multi-site experience
