MISE EN CANDIDATURE-Avis aux électeurs municipaux
déclarations de candidature doivent être déposées est prévue à l’article 33(2) de la Loi de 1996 sur les élections municipales. Les formulaires de déclaration de candidature et tous les détails des procédures à suivre peuvent être obtenus auprès du gre"er responsable du processus électoral 2014. Si un plus grand nombre de candidats que requis pour remplir les postes sont mis en candidature (et font les déclarations requises), un avis indiquant la tenue du scrutin sera envoyé à tous les électeurs admissibles inscrits sur la liste électorale ou qui auront complété les formulaires requis a!n d’inclure, d’ajouter ou de corriger la liste électorale jusqu’au jour du scrutin. Le vote par téléphone et par Internet débutera le mercredi 22 octobre 2014 à 9 h et se poursuivra jusqu’à 20 h le lundi 27 octobre 2014. Suite à la décision de choisir des méthodes alternatives de scrutin, soit le vote par téléphone et le vote par Internet, tous les électeurs admissibles recevront personnellement par courrier de première classe une lettre d’information de l’électeur.
Cette lettre inclura le numéro de téléphone et l’adresse du site Web où le vote pourra être enregistré, la période du scrutin, le numéro d’identi!cation personnalisé et con!dentiel et le nom des candidats pour chacun des postes à combler. Puisque le scrutin se déroulera sur une période de six (6) jours par téléphone et par Internet, le vote par procuration n’est pas autorisé et ne sera pas permis. ET DE PLUS, PRENEZ AVIS que dans le cas où le nombre de candidats pour un poste à la !n de la journée de déclaration de candidatures n’est pas su"sant pour remplir le nombre de postes vacants pour lesquels les candidats peuvent être élus, l’article 37(1) se rapportant aux élections par acclamation s’applique à ces candidats et le mercredi suivant la journée de déclaration de candidatures, soit le 17 SEPTEMBRE 2014, de 9 h à 14 h, le gre"er ou la gre"ère peut recevoir et certi!er des déclarations additionnelles pour le poste pour lequel le nombre de candidats était insu"sant. AVIS est donné selon l’article 32 de la Loi de 1996 sur les élections municipales la dernière journée où les personnes peuvent être mises en candidature à un poste est entre 9 h et 14 h la JOURNÉE DE DÉCLARATION DE CANDIDATURE LE VENDREDI, 12 SEPTEMBRE 2014 mais il est aussi permis, selon l’article 33(4)(a) de la Loi de 1996 sur les élections municipales, de remplir un formulaire de déclaration de candidature et de le remettre au gre"er ou à la gre"ère durant ses heures normales de bureau avant la dernière journée de mises en candidature. Nomination forms and full particulars of procedures to be followed may be obtained from the appropriate and designated Clerk responsible for conducting the 2014 municipal elections. If a greater number of candidates than required to !ll the said o"ce(s) are nominated, notice of the time for holding of the vote shall be provided to every eligible elector identi!ed on the voters’ list or who has completed the required form(s) for inclusions, additions or corrections to the voters’ list up to the !nal voting day. Voting by telephone and Internet will commence on Wednesday, October 22 nd , 2014 at 9:00 a.m. and continue up to and including 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27 th , 2014. As a result of the selection of alternative voting methods, being vote by telephone and vote by Internet, every eligible voter will personally receive, by !rst class mail, a Voter Information Letter. #is Voter Information Letter will identify the telephone number
NOTICE pursuant to Section 32 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 is hereby given that the last day that persons may be nominated as candidates is between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on NOMINATION DAY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2014 but nothing prevents a person, pursuant to Subsection 33(4)(a) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, from !ling nomination papers with the Clerk during his or her normal o"ce hours preceding nomination day. ELECTORS ARE HEREBY required to take notice and govern themselves accordingly, and further take notice that the manner in which said nominations shall be !led is set forth in Subsection 33(2) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
