Gloucestershire's 100 Biggest Employers 2019

It will be all white on the night

TV presenter and Stroud GP Dr Dawn Harper is asking you to wear white – and a bit of green – at a charity dinner that will raise funds for two riding charities. Dr Dawn’s White Party will be held at The Frogmill in Shipton Ollife on Saturday, November 16 and will be the third time that Dr Dawn has asked people to go white for the night. And this year, Dr Dawn is hoping to find some white knights in the business community who will sign up as sponsors for the event. The White Party will raise funds for the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund, and David Foster Injured Riders fund in honour of Gloucestershire-based event rider Jonty Evans. The Irish Olympian suffered a serious brain injury and spent seven weeks in a coma after a fall in 2018, but has

made a remarkable recovery and Dr Dawn hopes he will be guest of honour. Dr Dawn said: “Jonty and I have known each other for years, but when we decided to hold the party in his honour, we didn't expect him to be in a position to be as involved as he is, but thankfully he can be. “Anything goes in terms of what people want to wear, whether its tennis kit, cricket whites, wedding dresses or white tuxedos. “This year, in honour of Jonty, who wears green when riding in cross country events, we ask everyone to add a touch of green in his honour” l Tickets cost £100 per person and can be booked individually, in groups or in tables of 10 from www.mdirf.co.uk For more information about sponsoring the event contact: jack@drdawn.com
