It’s been a busy fewmonths for ASH Chartered Surveyors, as they celebrate their 30th anniversary. ASH was founded in 1989 by Catherine Alexander, Christopher Soane and Pollyanne Herring, with the first initial of their surnames becoming the company’s name. The company has gone from strength to strength since. They purchased Horsleys in 2013 and retained a Cheltenham office to complement their Gloucester base and joined SPA Chartered Surveyors in 2017. Pollyanne Herring has since married and become Pollyanne Schreuder and remained a partner in the firm throughout those first 30 years. She decided that the 30th anniversary was a good time to take a small step back from the company, although fellow partner Simon McKeag said she will still be very much involved. 30 years on and still going strong

Meanwhile, Simon Pontifex who joined ASH when they acquired SPA Chartered Surveyors, and remained with the company during the transition, has decided to retire. Mr McKeag added: “All of the partners would like to welcome Neil, Sarah and Fraser to the team, we look forward to working with you in the months and years to come. “We would also like to thank Simon for his hard work and dedication to ASH during his time with us, and wish him the very best for whatever he decides to do in his retirement.” l

He said: “Pollyanne has been with the company since day one and has given far more than just the first letter of her maiden name to ASH. “But as we celebrate our 30th anniversary, she has decided that it’s the right time to take a small step back. “We still expect to see a lot of her while she plots her next big thing, whatever that is.” ASH has strengthened its management department with the appointment of Neil Jones. An Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Mr Jones has vast experience in commercial property management, having worked in the sector for more than 30 years. He is joined by Sarah Bird, who joined the ever-growing residential management department in April. Fraser Mitchell is also a new member of the team, working across all the
