Inauguration du parc à jets d’eau de Wendover

Le parc à jets d’eau de Wendover a été inauguré au parc Denis St-Pierre le 6 juillet dernier. Lemaire Fernand Dicaire (extrême droite) et le conseiller du district 2, Jean- Claude Delorme, entourent ici Liette Hotte, membre du comité d’aménagement du parc, lors de la coupe officielle de ruban. Une vingtaine d’enfants étaient sur place, attendant impatiemment que les jets semettent à gicler. Ce nouvel ajout au parc Denis St-Pierre, un projet qui a coûté 150 000 $, vise à répondre à la croissance qui anime le village deWendover depuis quelques années déjà. D’autresmesures sont à prévoir sous peu dans le but d’améliorer les points d’accès au parc pour les résidents des différents projets résidentiels avoisinants. Le conseiller Delorme a tenu à préciser que « ça ne coûte absolument rien aux contribuables de Wendover ». (AL)

Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. has applied for pre-approval of the cost consequences associated with a long-term natural gas transportation contract with NEXUS Gas Transmission. Learn more. Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. has applied to the Ontario Energy Board for pre-approval of the cost consequences associated with a 15-year gas transportation contract commencing on November 1, 2017. The total cost for NEXUS capacity over the term of the contract is approximately $421.6 million (US). If its application is approved, Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. says that the benefits will include: • enhancing its gas supply plan through improved reliability, diversity, and flexibility • supporting the development of new natural gas pipeline infrastructure • allowing direct access to new sources of natural gas supply in the Appalachian Basin Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. says that its forecast cost of gas supply via the NEXUS pipeline is competitive with alternative pipeline projects or existing pipeline infrastructure that accesses the Dawn Hub. THE ONTARIO ENERGY BOARD IS HOLDING A PUBLIC HEARING The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) will hold a public hearing to consider the application filed by Enbridge Gas. We will question Enbridge Gas on the case. We will also hear arguments from individuals and from groups that represent the customers of Enbridge Gas. At the end of this hearing, the OEB will decide whether or not to pre-approve the costs as requested in the application. The OEB is an independent and impartial public agency. We make decisions that serve the public interest. Our goal is to promote a financially viable and efficient energy sector that provides you with reliable energy services at a reasonable cost. BE INFORMED AND HAVE YOUR SAY You have the right to information regarding this application and to be involved in the process. • You can review the application filed by Enbridge on the OEB’s website now. • You can file a letter with your comments, which will be considered during the hearing. • You can become an active participant (called an intervenor). Apply by July 27, 2015 or the hearing will go ahead without you and you will not receive any further notice of the proceeding. • At the end of the process, you can review the OEB’s decision and its reasons on our website. Le député Pierre Lemieux s’est rendu à Rockland pour remettre une subvention de plus de 14 000 $ à l’entreprise Visual Graphic Design. C’est dans le cadre du Programme de développement de l’Est de l’Ontario (PDEO) que M. Lemieux s’est déplacé pour annoncer la bonne nouvelle. Cette subvention devrait permettre à l’entreprise d’offrir un nouveau service de design Web. La propriétaire de l’entreprise depuis 2005, Joane Brunet, explique que sa mission est d’offrir un service personnalisé, fiable et exceptionnel. « Visual Graphic Design est fière de recevoir le financement et apprécie grandement cette subvention qui nous permettra de créer de nouveaux emplois, a déclaré Mme Brunet. Ces nouveaux emplois nous permettront de développer et de faire grandir l’entreprise, d’offrir un service supplémentaire en conception de sites Web, d’introduire de nouveaux produits et de développer de nouveaux marchés. » Pour sa part, M. Lemieux a renchéri en précisant que « les entreprises veulent suivre le rythme de l’ère numérique afin de mieux joindre et servir leurs clients. » Dans la photo, on voit le député Pierre Lemieux remettant le chèque à Joane Brunet, présidente de Visual Graphic Design, et Valérie Carter, nouvelle conceptrice graphique.
