Y our support of the 2024 Festival is very much appreciated, and we hope that you will join us here for four days of thrilling action in March. The information contained within this brochure is designed to help plan your visit and ensure you enjoy your time on course. We have a dedicated team looking after Owners & Trainers, led by Jennifer Dewhurst who can be contacted at Jennifer.Dewhurst@thejockeyclub.co.uk or by telephone on 01242 537602. Jennifer and the Team are available to help with any queries you may have and to ensure that your experience here at the Festival is a memorable one.

OWNERS INFORMATION

◆ ENTRIES

All owners with an entry at the Cheltenham Festival will receive their owners’ brochure after entries close for the race their horse is running in. Those still with entries after the last Festival races close, at the end of February, will be sent two car parking labels for each day that they have a runner.

◆ TICKET, BADGE & LUNCH BOOKING

Please note that the PASS System will not be in use for the Cheltenham Festival

The link for ticket, badge & lunch bookings will be sent out via email to the listed owner, first named in a partnership or syndicate manager.

For races that close in January, all owners who still have entries after the scratch date will be invited to book in their tickets, badges and lunches via our online booking form.

For races with entries closing after the beginning of February they will be invited to book in their tickets, badges and lunches via the online booking form at entry stage.

Any bookings made by owners who then do not have a declared runner at The Cheltenham Festival will no longer be valid.

◆ CONFIRMATIONS

Owners with confirmed runners will receive a letter and email reminding them of the booking process for tickets, badges and lunches.

◆ DECLARATIONS

At declarations all owners will receive an email with the above information. Owners with declared runners will be able to collect their tickets and badges on the day they have a runner from the O&T desk at North Entrance on arrival.

OWNERS BADGE ALLOCATION

◆ Every Owner and Partnership is entitled to six owners’ badges per declared runner, along with six complimentary lunches.

◆ Syndicates and Racing Clubs are offered eight owners’ badges per declared runner as standard, along with eight complimentary lunches.

We understand that ownership comes in many different forms and as such we offer for syndicates and racing clubs to swap their complimentary lunches for up to 20 admission tickets to the racecourse. We will always try our best to accommodate our owners where possible, so please get in touch with our Owners and Trainers team should you wish to enquire about lunches or further badges. Cheltenham reserves the right to offer additional Owners’ Badges & Lunches at their discretion and subject to space. Any requests for additional badges should be made in advance of the meeting to Cheltenham.Owners@thejockeyclub.co.uk . For Owners who wish to attend the Festival, even if their horse is not declared to run, we recommend that tickets are purchased in advance. If your horse is then declared to run we will be happy to arrange a refund for tickets you have purchased.

OWNERS BADGE COLLECTION

All Owners and Trainers badges will be available to collect from the Owners & Trainers desk, situated in the Marquee at North Entrance.

For those who may be on site on the Sunday & Monday ahead of the Festival, badges will be available to collect from the Hall of Fame, between the hours of 10am – 2pm.

Please note that only badges for horses that have already been declared to run will be available for collection.

Box Holders – For Owners who are annual box holders or have a box on one of the days of the Festival, we will be happy to arrange for your badges to be in your box on arrival, please contact the Owners & Trainers Team and they will be happy to make arrangements. Helicopter Arrivals – We kindly ask that any owners arriving by helicopter let the Owners & Trainers team know so that they can arrange for your tickets and badges to be at the Helipad for collection on your arrival. Ellenborough Park – Any owners who are staying at Ellenborough Park and will be arriving via the hotel’s private shuttle to please make the Owners & Trainers Team aware, so that we can have your tickets and badges in the correct location for collection on arrival.

OWNERS’ BADGES

Owners will receive both an Owners & Trainers Badge and a Parade Ring Pass specific for their race.

The Owners and Trainers Badge will gain access to the Tattersalls Pavilion (if you are booked to dine there), O&T Bar / Bistro in the Princess Royal Stand and The Steeplechase Club Room in the tented village. Please note that access to the parade ring will not be possible without a Parade Ring Pass. The number of Parade Ring Passes per horse will be dependant on the number of declared runners in the race. OWNERS FACILITIES We are delighted to be able to offer our owners three dedicated Owners & Trainers facilities for those with runners at the Festival. These comprise of The Tattersalls Pavilion, The O&T Bar & Bistro in the Princess Royal Grandstand and The Steeplechase Club Room in the tented village. The Tattersalls Pavilion – Located in the marquee below the parade ring, the Tattersalls Pavilion is perfectly located for getting to and from the Parade Ring. Please note that access to the Tattersalls Pavilion is strictly for those booked to dine there. The O&T Bar & Bistro – Located on Level 2 of the Princess Royal Grandstand, the O&T Bar & Bistro offers excellent views of the racecourse. The Bistro operates on two sittings for dining at the Festival, which must be booked in advance. Both the Bar & Bistro are available solely to those with runners on the day. The Steeplechase Club Room – Located within the tented village, the Steeplechase Club Room is exclusively for those with runners on the day. Well positioned for getting to and from the parade ring, shopping village and champagne bar, the Steeplechase Club Room has a retail food offering for those who may not be dining with us, pay bar and betting facilities. The Steeplechase Club Room is the perfect place to get a bite to eat, relax and catch up with trainers and friends.

TRAINERS BADGES

◆ ENTRIES

Two Owners’ and Trainers’ metal pin badges will be available for collection at the Hall of Fame, from the 9th - 11th March, between the hours of 10am - 2pm or on Festival race days from the Owners and Trainers Desk at North Entrance. Pin Badges allow access to the Weighing Room, Pre-Parade Ring, Parade Ring, Winners Enclosure and Unsaddling, Reserved Viewing area, Owners & Trainers facilities and the Owners & Trainers Marquee in the Tented Village. If you require any additional metal pin badges for any of your team to assist you in the above areas, please get in touch with Jennifer on 01242 537602 or email: Jennifer.Dewhurst@thejockeyclub.co.uk

◆ LUNCH BOOKINGS

Trainers with entered runners, are entitled to two complimentary lunches, which can be booked from mid-February via our website on our online booking form.

Any lunch bookings made by trainers who then do not have a declared runner on that day at The Cheltenham Festival will no longer be valid.

NTF BADGES Your NTF badge will NOT gain access into the racecourse for the Festival. We ask all trainers attending that do not have a runner to collect two club tickets and badges from the Owners & Trainers Desk at North Entrance on arrival. Please bring your NTF badge with you to collect the tickets. Trainers with runners at the Festival, please make sure that you wear the Festival metal badge on the day it is valid and that it is clearly visible at all times you are on the racecourse.

OWNERS & TRAINERS’ DINING

We are pleased to offer two Owners & Trainers dining facilities at The Cheltenham Festival.

Owners with declared runners will be able to enjoy complimentary lunches in either The Tattersalls Pavilion, situated below the Parade Ring, or in The Bistro located on level 2 of the Princess Royal Stand – trainers’ allocation is two for the day they have a runner. These two facilities are exclusively for those with runners on the day and those with access will have use of these facilities throughout the day. In order to accommodate everyone who wishes to dine in either one, we are unable to offer the use of a table for the day.

We ask owners to let us know, via our online booking form, which facility they would like to take their lunch in and the names of those dining.

THE TATTERSALLS PAVILION

This Marquee is situated below the Parade Ring and offers:

THE OWNERS’ & TRAINERS’ BISTRO & BAR

Located on Level 2 of The Princess Royal Stand, this facility offers:

A three course menu

TV and Betting facilities

The Bistro offers two sittings, please mark on the booking form your preference.

The timings are as follows: 1st Sitting 12:00pm – 1.30pm – to be seated by 12:30pm at the latest 2nd Sitting 1:45pm – 3.15pm – to be seated by 2:15pm at the latest

Please note that you will be requested to vacate your table at the end of each sitting.

We ask that all owners wishing to dine book their lunches by 4pm the day before racing.

Dining wristbands will be issued at the reception desk in the Tattersall Pavilion on the day you have a runner/runners.

Extra wristbands can be purchased at a cost of £165 each, which includes lunch and afternoon tea, payable on the day. These may be limited depending on availability.

OTHER INFORMATION

DRESS CODE

There is no dress code at Cheltenham. However, we advise that you dress for the weather, which can be unpredictable.

WINNERS & PLACED CONNECTIONS

Owners of winning horses will be invited to celebrate with a glass of champagne in the Hospitality Suite adjoining the Weighing Room and as well as any awarded Trophy, they will also receive a complimentary recording of the race and a photograph of the winning horse.

Owners of placed horses, down to 4th, will be invited to celebrate with a glass of champagne and watch a replay of their race.

HOSPITALITY

We offer Owners with runner at the Festival an exclusive rate in any of our restaurants or private boxes. Advanced reservations can be made by contacting our hospitality team on 01242 537653 or via email cheltenhamhospitality@thejockeyclub.co.uk

HANDICAPS (RESTRICTED TO THE TOP 40)

Car Parking Labels are issued to owners whose confirmed entries are in the top 40, to assist with access to the Owners’ & Trainers’ parking. If you subsequently find that your horse has got into the race, please email Jennifer Dewhurst on Jennifer.Dewhurst@thejockeyclub.co.uk to arrange your parking label.

HELICOPTER INFORMATION

Cheltenham Racecourse welcome private and chartered helicopter landings at the Air Charter Service Helipad.

The Helicopter landing area is situated to the Northeast of the racecourse. Prior notice is required for landings and insurance indemnities completed. Aircraft owners must book in with Air Charter Service (Tel: +44 (0)208339 8588 or email: helicopter@aircharter.co.uk) and receive a brief prior to landing permission being issued.

No Landings will be permitted withing 30 minutes of the first race, and no take offs will be permitted until 30 minutes after the last race, except by permission of the Clerk of the Course. We do not have facilities for fixed wing aircraft.

Full aircraft facilities are available at Staverton 5 n.m from the course.

Owners & Trainers arriving at the course via helicopter, must please notify the Cheltenham Owners Desk on +44 (0)1242 537 602 or email Cheltenham.Owners@thejockeyclub.co.uk in order to arrange for your tickets and badges to be available for collection from the Heli-field entrance.

CHELTENHAM EVENT MOBILITY

Through Event Mobility Charitable Trust we are able to provide electric scooters and manual wheelchairs for the use of disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors to Cheltenham. These can be collected from beside the North Entrance. To reserve an electric scooter or manual wheelchair in advance you can book online at www.eventmobility.org.uk, print out an advance booking form from the website or contact the office on 01386 725 391 to request a form to be posted to you.
