Sancho (Portugal); Holmleigh Primary school (United Kingdom); Kauno Sanciu mokykla (Lithuania); Szkola Podstawowa Nr 1 im Jozefa Pilsudskiego (Poland) Description: 42 young people from seven countries participated in a youth exchange on sustain- able living and recycling with a creativity element. The project offered theoretical and practical activities. There was poster-making, a waste campaign, learning, and reviewing interesting tech- nologies and initiatives related to waste recycling. A mini-conference was held on how to recycle glass, textiles, metal, cardboard and paper. The practical activities included art workshops, fashion shows, exhibitions, and workshops on recycling and waste cycling. A project website with inspirational videos and posters was also created.

Description: TNH International Club offers a comfortable place for young adults (aged 18-26) to gather and exchange their experiences and to promote environmental education. The monthly event welcomes both Estonians and foreigners such as exchange students living in Tartu to create a cross-cultural environmental discussion. Club activities give young adults the opportu- nity to come and listen to different lectures, learn how to become more environmentally friendly, find like-minded people to share their ideas with, give presentations about their chosen topics, and to find and design projects to reach more people.

Countries: Participants from Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden
Description: Five international volunteers operating in Estonia designed and implemented a theme day on ecology and sustainability for local young people. The theme day emphasised the small practical steps that each of us can take every day. One of the outcomes was a list of tips that was distributed to young people to attach to their fridges as a reminder. The Lifestyle Day was organised in several youth centres in different cities in Estonia.

Description: The training course intended to increase the number and quality of youth exchanges under the umbrella of YES to Sustainability, a series of youth exchanges in ecovillages and in other sustainability projects, by offering the participants a rich learning opportunity about different dimensions of sustainability. As a result, several project applications were submitted to organise youth exchanges and develop the YES to Sustainability network.
