Bon Appétit magazine named this tasting menu restaurant the Best New Restaurant in America in 2018. Since then, this Midtown destination has continued to offer beautifully plated food, wine pairings and remarkable cocktails. Now helmed by Executive Chef Corey Orsburn, the 20- seat concept has added a lounge adjacent, and the brigade includes an extern from the Culinary Institute of America, one of the best culinary training programs in the world. The menu is eclectic, including locally sourced ingredients, as well as specialty items brought in from around the world. Reservations are essential. Scratch - Paseo. Chef Zach Hutton grew up in southwestern Oklahoma, where he learned to garden, can and cook from his grandparents. The rustic country food that formed the backbone of his family’s dinner table is now the focus of Scratch, and his attention to detail, commitment to local sourcing – everything on the menu comes from Oklahoma – and dedication to slow food earned him a James Beard Award nomination for Best Chef Southwest in 2022.

Ma Der Lao Kitchen

Grey Sweater. Chef Andrew Black received a James Beard Award nomination in 2022 for Most Outstanding Chef, a national rather than regional award. Black’s tasting menu concept Grey Sweater largely inspired the recognition, but his other two restaurants, Black Walnut and Gilded Acorn, also feature the kind of creative, delicious food that has made the Jamaican-born chef a national celebrity. Grey Sweater sources ingredients from all over the world, and the result is eclectic, stunning menus with artistry and complex flavors at their core. Reservations are required, as each diner receives a phone call ahead of

their scheduled time to discuss dietary restrictions and preferences. Ma Der Lao Kitchen. Chef Jeff Chanchaleune woke up on his birthday in 2022 to discover that Bon Appétit magazine had awarded his Ma Der Lao Kitchen the honor of being the Best New Restaurant in Oklahoma. Chanchaleune spent much of his career cooking ramen; in fact, he first achieved notoriety in Oklahoma City with his Kaiteki Ramen food truck.
