D. Civic Organization Event Signs . Signage may be placed up to 48 hours prior to the event and removed at the event’s conclusion. In no case shall the signs be in place for more than 72 consecutive hours.
(5) Anchoring . An off-site sign shall be temporarily secured to prevent such sign from creating a hazard due to high winds or storms. It is the responsibility of the sign owner to secure such sign.
(6) Maximum Quantity . No more than eight (8) off-site signs shall be permitted at any time.
(7) Prohibited Use . Use of appurtenances with temporary off-site signs is prohibited.
(8) Revocation of Permit. An off-site weekend directional of commercial sales event sign permit may be revoked for any violation of this section.
e. Sandwich Board Sign
A sandwich board sign is permitted in accordance with the following standards:
(1) Sign Surface Area . A sandwich board sign shall not exceed six (6) square feet per side and a total aggregate of 12 square feet.
(2) Maximum Height . Such signs shall not exceed 42 inches in height.
(3) Clearance . The location of a sandwich board sign shall not interfere with pedestrian movement and shall comply with a minimum required five (5) feet clearance along all sidewalks and pedestrian travel ways.
(4) Duration of Display . Such signs shall be displayed during business hours only and shall be removed and placed inside the premises during hours when the business is not in operation.
(5) Anchoring . A sandwich board sign shall be temporarily secured to prevent such sign from creating a hazard due to high winds or storms. It is the responsibility of the business owner to secure such sign.
(6) Maximum Quantity . One (1) sandwich board sign is permitted per business or establishment.
