(2) WALL PACK. The term defining a type of light fixture typically flush-mounted on a vertical wall surface, that may or may not require a cover shield to deflect lighting below horizontal no greater than 45 degrees (45°) to a ground surface. (3) WAREHOUSE & DISTRIBUTION. A use engaged in storage, extensive warehousing, frequent heavy truck activity, open storage of materials, local and regional distribution centers, and where some dust, noise and odors may occur; where goods are received and/or stored for delivery to the ultimate customer at remote locations. This term does not include bulk storage of materials that are flammable or explosive or that present hazards or conditions commonly recognized as offensive.
(4) WASTE (Erosion & Sedimentation Control). The term defining surplus materials resulting from on-site land disturbing activities and being disposed of at other locations.
(5) WATER DEPENDENT STRUCTURE (Watershed Protection). The term defining any structure for which the use requires access to or proximity to or citing within surface waters to fulfill its base purpose, such as boat ramps, boathouses, docks and bulkheads. Ancillary facilities such as restaurants, outlets for boat supplies, parking lots and commercial boat storage areas are not water dependent structures. (6) WATER STORAGE FACILITY. The term defining a structure in the form of an elevated storage tank or ground tank designed to store potable water for distribution as a public service to the public for daily use.
(7) WATER SURFACE ELEVATION (WSE) (Flood Damage Prevention). The term defining the height, in relation to NAVD 1988, of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in the floodplains of riverine areas.
(8) WATERCOURSE (Flood Damage Prevention). The term defining a lake, river, creek, stream, wash, channel or other open graphic feature on or over which waters flow at least periodically. Watercourse includes specifically designated areas in which substantial flood damage may occur.
(9) WATERSHED (Watershed Protection). The term defining the entire land area contributing surface drainage to a specific point (e.g. the water supply intake).
