your knees to Him whether you want to or not. I, too, will bow my knees to Him. Every man who has ever lived, or who will ever live, will one day have to bow his knees in the acknowledgement that Jesus Christ is Lord. One day He will be acclaimed as Lord of lords and King of kings. That is a tre mendous thought! That puts God in your corner. Will you bow your knees in that day in love and ador ation as you fall gratefully before Him who loves you and died for you? Or, will you be forced by compulsion to bend your knees before Him, forced by the angels of heaven to do so, after which in judgment you will be removed from His presence forever? Jesus
ment. It refers to the self-emptying of Jesus Christ. Four times in His ministry Jesus spoke about the fact that whoso ever shall exalt himself shall be abased, but he that shall humble himself shall always be exalted (Matthew 18:4, 23:12; Luke 14:11, 18:14). He lived exactly what He preached. His own life was and is the greatest example. The individ ual must humble himself before God will exalt him. Because our Lord willingly abased Himself, God exalted Him beyond all human un derstanding. As a believer in Christ it is a thrill to realize He shall reign, and that God the Father will see to it.
