Fort Worth Police Department Strategic Plan

Goal 5: Recruit, hire, promote, and retain the best candidates to serve the Fort Worth community. The FWPD commits to hiring high quality, motivated police applicants, and places specific emphasis on diversity and community reflection. The Backgrounds Unit processes over 100 backgrounds each month. The goal from FY 2017- 2021 is to hire and commission between 612 - 624 police applicants.
