The Gang Unit responds to and investigates offenses involving known or suspected gang members. Additionally, the Gang Intervention/Prevention Unit uses proactive measures to encourage at-risk youth not to enter into the gang lifestyle. Additionally, Gang Intervention/Prevention officers are taking the lead in establishing the Department’s Police Athletic League (PAL) programs.

Police Athletic League The FWPD is a proud partner with the local chapter of the Fort Worth Police Athletic League (PAL).
