The Sixth Patrol Division and projects directly related to the sale of 350 W. Belknap have been discussed in other sections of this plan.

Funded – Renovation of West Patrol Division (Joyce Dr.) The purpose of this project is to renovate a city-owned facility at 3530 Joyce Drive to create suitable office space for West Patrol Division functions currently housed at a leased facility located at 5320 Trail Lake Drive. The City of Fort Worth purchased the 14,000 square foot former bank building in 2014 to replace a leased facility at Trail Lake Drive, which is located within the South Patrol Division boundary. The Trail Lake property owner indicated that he plans to redevelop the property, and as such, a consolidated West Patrol Campus, inclusive of the Joyce Drive facility located adjacent to the existing Marquita West Patrol Division facility, is a logical and viable renovation project.

The project requires extensive renovation work, including converting open space into offices, repairing, and modernizing, the existing building infrastructure to include IT, mechanical (HVAC), electrical, and plumbing systems. In 2015, a design and construction plan were completed, so minor cost adjustments for the anticipated fiscal year costs makes the project ready for construction contractor bids. This project could finalize by October 2017, funded in its entirety through the Crime Control and Prevention District. 3530 Joyce Drive Facility
