Pamarco, Printron, Absolute, JB Machinery Join Program Absolute Engineering, JB Machinery, Pamarco and Printron have joined the AICC Education Investor pro- gram. The intention of this endeavor is to provide a knowledge base for today’s corrugated converters and for future members of this industry. As investors, the companies will partner with AICC, The Indepen- dent Packaging Association and The Packaging School to build online courses designed to optimize the flex- ographic printing process for the corrugated industry. Labelexpo Asia To Showcase Digital, Smart Technologies Labelexpo Asia 2017 will present the Digital Trail and Smart Zone for the first time at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) from De- cember 5-8, which will highlight the latest advances in these technologies and their respective applica- tions for label and package printing. The Trail will involve live press runs and offer a com- prehensive overview of color management, origination and prepress, workflow, print quality, speed ability and finishing solutions using digital technology. The Smart Zone and be displaying some of the newest active and intelligent label and packaging ap- plications available to the market. Visitors will see a variety of products, such as RFID/NFC labels, 3D holo- grams, nano materials and special inks, which have all been designed to improve customer engagement and appeal, increase security or help prevent fraud. Registration is now open for Flexographic Techni- cal Association’s (FTA) Forum & INFOFLEX 2018, which will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana, May 6- 9. Forum event themed “Bringing It All Together: Processes, People and Potential” is set to be hosted at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.Across the Sky- walk, INFOFLEX will be held at the Indiana Conven- tion Center on May 7-8.The theme for the meeting is Where the Worlds of Package Printing and Convert- ing Technologies Successfully Intertwine . Sessions will cover topics including the future of flexo, process improvements, equipment purchasing, understanding the customer’s customer, the importance of the press approval process, and the role company culture and leadership play in a successful work envi- ronment.
