MacDermid Customers Win FTA South Africa Awards Last month, the Flexographic Technical Association of South Africa held the Flexographic Print Excel- lence Awards 2017 at Emperor Palace in Johannes- burg, South Africa. MacDermid Graphics Solutions and local partner, TAD Printing Products, were both sponsoring corrugated categories. With the use of MGS’ Digital MAF plate, MacDermid customers earned a total of seven awards. Chemence Alford Receives FlexoExpert Certification Chemence Graphics Group, a pan European compa- ny specializing in pre-press, flexographic and print- ing plate technology, announced that within its group, the UK business has recently become the first to receive Flint Group’s FlexoExpert Certification. During a six-month process consisting of three main steps — evaluation, implementation and train- ing, then auditing — the FlexoExpert Certification Program provides the means by which plate makers can further optimize their workflow to make more reliable and consistent plates.
