souls gives way. When mighty men around are falling and courage is almost gone, there is always one way to look,— “ looking unto Jesus.’I “When I am sad, He makes me glad. He’s my friend.” Not long ago two of our brightest and most promising boys went down in the conflict, but prayer was made for them almost continually. The enemy had come in like a flood, but, praise God, the Spirit of the Lord put him to flight. They both refused to stay de feated and one was used to bring about the restoration of the other. We are all rejoicing in the One who is able to save from the uttermost even unto the uttermost. “ Though I forget Him and wander away, Still He doth love me wherever I stray. Back to His dear loving arms would I flee When I remember that Jesus loves me.” What a Tract Did A tract was handed a lad of twelve. The worker brought him to a mission and there endeavored to lead him to a definite acceptance of Christ. The lad couldn’t or wouldn’t decide then and there, and the worker foolishly became discouraged. He allowed this spirit to grow and finally gave up all attempt to thus witness, for his Lord, and twenty years of wasted life followed. One day recently in the midst of a group of friends he was. handed a tract. Ac cepting it, he remarked, “ I, too, used to give out tracts,” and then he related the ' experience which so greatly dis couraged him. Comparing notes, the two soon discovered they were the prin cipals in that drama of long ago— the one telling how that very night, twenty years before, reaching his room, the tract had been carefully re-read, this time gripping his heart and conscience, ■bringing him to his knees and to a sav ing faith in Christ as Saviour. Upon the recital of this, the elder man con fessed his guilt, promising the Lord never again to be weary in well doing. “I’ll Stick to Jesus” Following this came a man into Biola Hall who asked us if we recalled the day he came to us, discouraged, depress ed and defeated— just about ready to give up everything. We had some of the grand old promises and prayer in the little upper room together. Now as we looked into his bright, shining

Several other girls told how since taking the Lord Jesus for their Saviour they had learned how they could go to Him with everything, and in what a wonderful way He was helping them every day with their lessons. Many of the girls testified to the great joy life had become to them since they found their Saviour. /.% Kindness Won A young woman who lost her mother when she was born fell into sin. Word came that baby clothes were needed for the expectant mother. The matter was presented to a Bible Class and the mem bers were asked if they would make a layette for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and pray that this act might be used by Him to win the young woman back to Himself, for she had once taken Christ as her Saviour. A beautiful box of baby clothes was pre pared by the class. Almost every gar ment had hand-work upon it, such as feather stitching, crocheting, etc. It was a great pleasure to the worker to be able to take that box to the young woman and to say that it was a gift from God to her. Moreover it was very touching to see her examine each little garment. The young woman had been growing hard, but the gift prepared the way for the message of the Saviour’s love. Her heart was deeply touched, the tears began to fall as she prayed for the forgiveness of her sin. “ Down in the human heart crushed by the Tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore, Touched by a loving heart, wakened by Kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more,” ate Our City Mission for men, situated in the center of the city. There is always God’s due time for reaping, if we faint not, and this is~ es pecially true in these trying and severe ly testing days when all around our BIOLA HALL WORK David Cant, Superintendent
