earth and heaven will try to flee away from the flaming eyes of a holy God, but there will be found no place for them. Neither Time, nor Eternity, nor dark ness, nor the ends of the earth, can hide you from the eye of God. “Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there. If I make my bed In hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning,, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness will cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.” Psa.
When God speaks in the judgment and says, “ Son, remember,” then you will realize how hopelessly naked and uncovered your sins really are. “ For there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed.” - There is only one place where you can hide the eternal naked ness of your sin so that God’s eye can not see it, and that is underneath the precious blood of your Saviour. The word “ atonement” means a “ covering.” It is the blood of Christ alone that pro vides an “ atonement” or a “ covering” for the open and naked sins of the world. You can never, never get away from the eye of God. “ Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” Jer. 23:24.
There will come a time in this world, 139:7-12. Oh, how shall we escape if we when living men will beg the mountains neglect so great a salvation? Repent! and the rocks to fall on them to hide Repent!— Chas. J. Waehlte.
