July 23 - 25: Eighth Annual Wine Country Comedy Fest Three nights of stand-up comedy meet wine country hospitality during the Eighth Annual Wine Country Comedy Fest, presented by The Laugh Cellar. The festival runs July 23 to 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. nightly, with performances at Buena Vista Winery, Balletto Vineyards and DeLoach Vineyards. July 18 - 19: Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic Early risers can experience the magic of the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic 2026, held July 18-19 from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily at the Sonoma County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 1350 Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa. Each morning begins with a 4 a.m. Glow Show, followed by food vendors, merchandise, a free Kids Zone, and weather-permitting balloon launches and tethered rides. July 12: Petaluma Art & Garden Festival Historic Downtown Petaluma becomes an open-air celebration of creativity during the 23rd Annual Petaluma Art & Garden Festival on Sunday, July 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival spans Kentucky Street, Fourth Street, B Street, and the A Street parking lot, with event headquarters at 20 4th Street in Petaluma. Admission is free, with tasting packages available for wine, beer, cider, cocktails and more. Visitors can enjoy more than 100 art exhibitors, live music on two stages, food and beverages, gardening experts, and children’s activities. July 4: Kenwood 4th of July 10K & 3K Footrace A beloved Wine Country tradition, the Kenwood 4th of July Footrace 10K & 3K begins the holiday with scenic routes through Kenwood roads and vineyards. Hosted by Empire Runners Club, the event takes place Saturday, July 4 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kenwood Plaza Park, 170 Warm Springs Road, Kenwood, CA 95452. The 3K starts at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 10K at 7:33 a.m., which is recognized as California’s oldest running 10K footrace. Registration varies by race and date, starting at $36.23–$91.86.
