LANGE WINS 2026 COMMUNITY CHAMPION AWARD
UMN ROCHESTER RECEIVES NATIONAL INNOVATION AWARD
Matt Stockdale from Chick-fil-A Rochester was recently recognized by Chick-fil-A at the “Celebration of Impact” in Atlanta, Georgia, receiving an Operator Award for the Caring Through Food pillar. Matt shared that what began as serving meals has grown into building relationships, supporting families, and caring for the community. He said the recognition reflects the many people who choose to care every day through partnerships, donations, and service.
Steve Lange , Rochester Magazine editor (and Post Bulletin general manager), received Experience Rochester's Community Champion Award, which honors individuals who "make a meaningful impact on the community." Lange was honored for 26 years of "producing deeply reported, award-winning storytelling focused on the people, places, and experiences that define the city."
The University of Minnesota Rochester has earned the prestigious 2026 Top Colleges for Innovation Award from “Insight Into Academia" magazine. This national recognition highlights UMN Rochester’s visionary approach to higher education and commitment to student success, ensuring our region continues to develop top-tier, highly-skilled talent to meet today's evolving workforce demands.
ARMENT EARNS AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE'S CHAMPIONSHIP RING
AWARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR SOLDIERS FIELD MEMORIAL PARK IMPROVEMENTS The City of Rochester Parks and Recreation Department received an Award of Excellence from the Minnesota Recreation and Park Association for the Soldiers Field Memorial Park Improvements. The $23.5 million project included a major aquatics expansion, enhanced recreation amenities, and improved accessibility at one of Rochester’s most-used parks.
ROCHESTER DOG NAMED MINNESOTA ENERGY RESOURCES AMBASSADOG Aspen, a 2-year-old Staffordshire terrier mix, has been voted the next Minnesota Energy Resources “ambassadog.” This very good girl from Rochester now has the important responsibility of reminding people to call 811 at least two days before they dig. Aspen is the fifth Minnesota Energy Resources safe digging ambassadog. The company started the program in 2022 to help spread the important message about calling 811 before you dig.
Celebrating 16 years, Rochester agent Travis Arment recently earned American Family Insurance’s prestigious Championship Ring. This honor recognizes Arment’s dedication to protecting families through life insurance and strategic bundling. His team’s commitment to "doing the right thing" also helped Jennifer Barlage’s Southern Minnesota team secure the District of the Year award for 2025.
