“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagi- nation will take you everywhere.” This quote by Albert Einstein is a reminder that progress is always born from imag- ination. But for imagination to become effective, it needs places where bound- aries can be questioned and pushed. Such places include universities, technical institutes, and start‑up com- panies. The knowledge being created today forms the technological founda- tion of tomorrow. That is why knowledge transfer is a central priority for maxon. For this reason, maxon launched the Young Engineers Program (YEP). Students and young companies that need a drive solution for their project can easily access the maxon portfolio. With our expertise, we also support teams in designing their system. We
maxon supports the team in building the motors and producing the winding. − LEVA logistics robot: The team at ETH Zurich built a robot for heavy loads that can operate in unstructured environments. maxon supported the project with actuators and expertise. − EPFL Rocket Team: The project brings together EPFL Lausanne students working in space‑related fields. The team designs rockets and participates in research competitions. maxon supports them with drive solu- tions and knowledge transfer. These are just three of many examples. The YEP is a global initiative by maxon, and we support teams worldwide.
