Several organizers were involved in the weekend’s activities, which included skating, sliding, a dance, zumba, a fishing tournament, lunches, suppers, and a bunch of free stuff for the kids. “There were many organizations that worked together for this weekend,” said Manon Parent, organizer of the Family Day event. “We have a really good turnout today. We are so pleased.”

Organizers were thrilled with the turnout for Family Day at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex onMonday. By 1 p.m., there were 524 people celebrating the day. “It’s getting bigger and bigger every year,” said Stephanie Houle, one of the event volunteers and organizers. “Last year, we had left-over spaghetti, this year we ran out. Every year, we have something different. Last year, we had the Science and Techmuseum here. This year, we have Little Ray’s Reptile

At just three-and-a-half years old, Alysia Beaulne was waiting patiently to have her turn with Frisotine for face painting. The line up was long, but kids were happy with the results.

Several events kept kids busy and happy during the Family Day Celebrations Monday including arts and crafts, face painting, zumba, and a visit from Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo. Organizers said there were more than 500 people at the event.
