Shalom,” said Roberts. Each school has now received a Board theme resource binder, created by the CDSBEO’s Religious and Family Life Education Department. The framework for the theme is basedon the work of Father Ray Carey, from the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon, who will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Faith Day in September. Busy Year Manager of Plant and Maintenance, Bernie Kehoe, presented to trustees a summary of a number of projects carried out by his department over the summer. Projects from schools across the Board were highlighted, including additions to St. Thomas Aquinas CHS (Russell), and St. Michael CHS (Kemptville), the installation of solar panels at three high schools, and general upgrades such as flooring, pain- ting and the installation of new roofs. Kehoe told the board, “We always aim to ensure that the projects are complete for the first day of school. Our common goal is to continue to provide our school staff with the best possible, welcoming, learning environment.” Sunday.
