Whatever age you are, or level of physical ability you may have, physical therapy can help you in enhancing the healing process of a sports injury. With our sports injury rehabilitation programs, you will be able to get back to doing the activities you love in no time. I have a sports injury – how did that happen? “Sports injury” is a term that can be used to describe any injury sustained while exercising or performing some sort of athletic activity. Simply put, anything that results in pain while performing physical activity can be considered a sports injury. Whether you rolled your ankle on the soccer field, swung your bat too aggressively on the baseball diamond, or strained your back while hiking your favorite trail, Dresher Physical Therapy can help you find relief. Margaret Wilde is a talented student-athlete who has shown extreme perseverance and dedication over the past year and a half. In April of 2019, Margaret was playing soccer for her Penn Fusion team when she felt a “pop” in her knee. Unfortunately, Margaret suffered an ACL tear and underwent surgery to repair this. What Margaret didn’t know was that this was just the beginning of her recovery. Through hard work and dedication Margaret rehabilitated her left knee at Dresher Physical Therapy and set her sights on returning to the soccer field. After 10 months of rehab and then just beginning to return to soccer practice, Margaret suffered a tear of her left meniscus. She was forced to undergo a meniscal repair surgery in February 2020. Many young athletes would have been devastated and possibly even given up. Margaret never gave up! She worked even harder after her second surgery, and even dedicated herself to a rigorous home program during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Through countless hours of PT and home exercises Margaret is now ready to return to the soccer field once again! Margaret has done plyometric box jump exercises, agility drills, strengthening, conditioning, and sport-specific training to be ready for this moment. It has been a pleasure to work with such a talented and dedicated student athlete. Margaret: The entire Dresher Physical Therapy team wishes you great success in your future academic and soccer endeavors. You deserve the best and worked hard to achieve your goals! We are very proud of you! “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all love of what you are doing.” - Pele
