▪ The inspiration for Monte’s tomato sauce came from a family- owned restaurant in Brooklyn, New York called Monte’s Venetian Room. In its heyday it attracted local politicians and celebrities like Frank Sinatra and became a staple for Italian food. In 2018 PJ Monte — a grandnephew of Nick Monte, who owned the restaurant along with his brothers —decided to set out to learn the family recipe of tomato sauce and jar it up to bring to the masses. PJ wanted to continue his family's tradition of over 100+ years of serving the best of everything, to the best people, in the best manner possible.
