▪ When Ulrika moved to the United States 10 years ago, the transition was tough and she missed her family a lot. She started baking her Grandma's cookies just to feel close to loved ones and the Swedish flavors. She baked so much and that is when Ulrika started thinking about making it a business. She is a graphic designer by trade but was ready for a change, and in 2015 started Unna Bakery from a shared kitchen.

▪ Back in 2008, Nekisia Davis was running the show at a famous pizza restaurant in Brooklyn. One night after work, she found herself dreaming about a better granola. The next morning, totes in hand, she hit her local co-op for ingredients and went home to make a batch. And WHOA—it was salty, it was sweet, it was covered in olive oil. It was unlike any granola she’d ever tasted. Her friends and coworkers flipped for it, and Early Bird Foods & Co. was hatched! More than 17 years later, we’re still making the VERY BEST granola anywhere the finest of cereals are sold. Voilà! Early Bird is WOMAN & QUEER-OWNED + OPERATED—and damn proud of it.
