Safety Policy and Strategic Framework
Keeping our team members safe is a core value at Trex.
Minimizing the risk of serious injuries and fatalities
of this organization is reducing and managing risk. These teams work together to assess risks across functions, develop action plans and share data and management processes to drive consistent application of best practices. For example, a cross- functional team is working to reduce risk at the site with our highest recordable incident rate by identifying root causes and implementing targeted solutions. We also added new director- and manager-level roles at our sites and strengthened safety engagement with manufacturing and supply chain leaders across our operations.
Analyzing and eliminating workplace hazards
We empower everyone at Trex to take an active role in supporting a safe and responsible work environment. Our CEO and Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and the company’s own standards and practices. The Trex Occupational Health and Safety Policy lays out the key principles that guide our approach and sets clear expectations for every department across the company. Our comprehensive EH&S framework guides us through five core objectives. We strive for continuous improvement in each of these areas to protect our people with stringent regulatory compliance and a safety-conscious workplace culture:

In 2025, we strengthened our EH&S organizational structure to support Trex’s evolving operations by adding expertise and targeted resources through strategic hiring. We integrated EH&S into the Trex Operational Excellence framework alongside our Quality, Process Engineering, Project Management and Engineering and Continuous Improvement teams. A core focus
