U.N. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs) Our commitment to sustainability is grounded in the aspiration to create a positive impact for both people and the planet. As part of this effort, we support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this index, we highlight how our initiatives align with specific SDG targets where we believe we can contribute the most meaningful positive outcomes.

Employee Health Engagement: In 2025, 78% of eligible employees participated in Trex’s health plan, with 38% enrolling in the Wellness Program to qualify for reduced out-of-pocket health insurance premiums. Comprehensive Coverage: Trex’s health insurance offerings include preventive health screenings, diabetes management support, weight loss programs and walking challenges designed to encourage proactive health management. Wellness Incentives: We provide financial incentives and structured programming to promote healthy lifestyles and long-term well-being among employees. Air Quality Management: We operate EPA-approved pollution control technologies, including fabric filtration systems, wet scrubbers and regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs), which reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by at least 95% and other air pollutants by approximately 90%. Stormwater Management: Stormwater collection and filtration systems are in place at our manufacturing sites to control runoff and minimize phosphorus, nitrogen and particulate discharge. Safe Chemical Handling: We partner with licensed waste management providers to ensure responsible disposal and recycling of materials containing potentially hazardous substances. All storage and handling practices comply with permit requirements and internal safety standards. In 2025, Trex recorded zero environmental violations resulting in fines. Employee Development: Trex employees completed 52,249 hours of training in 2025 across leadership development, compliance, onboarding and technical skill-building programs. Tuition Reimbursement: Our tuition reimbursement program supports continued education and career growth. Full-time employees may receive up to $5,000 annually for associate degrees, $7,500 for bachelor’s degrees and $10,000 for master’s degrees. In 2025, we reimbursed $68,544 in tuition assistance to 12 employees. Trex Family Scholarships: Through the Trex Family Scholarship program, we awarded $87,000 in scholarships to 27 students attending accredited two-year, four-year, vocational and technical institutions in the U.S. Continuous Learning: Employees have free access to the full LinkedIn Learning® catalog. In 2025, more than 260 employees completed over 1,275 hours of LinkedIn Learning® coursework. Accessible Training: Key training programs are offered in Spanish to support workforce accessibility and comprehension across all team members.
