ADMINISTRATION SUMMARY OF SERVICES
The Administration Division of the Administrative Services Department directs the day-to-day operations of all department functions. The Division establishes and implements priorities, policies and procedures, and provides long-range planning for the department and oversees accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, budget, treasury, debt management, and information technology. The Division supports the Finance Commission and coordinates its activities and implements its directives. Accomplishments Directed resources towards accomplishing the City’s strategic priorities, with a concentrated effort on improving efficiency. Compliance with Federal and State laws and City ordinances regarding financial reporting, purchasing, and contract administration. Monitored and managed the City’s major revenues and expenditures, and provided financial indicators to present a comprehensive view of the City’s financial health. Effectively managed the City’s investment portfolio with a continued goal of increasing returns on investment.
