AQUATICS SUMMARY OF SERVICES

Aquatics operates the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center and the Northwood High School Aquatic Center. Programming includes: water safety education and awareness with Learn to Swim classes; pool use for community and school programs; adaptive swim programs for participants with special needs; local, state, national and international special events; aquatic recreation activities for all ages and abilities; and year-round lap swimming. The Irvine Aquatics Advisory Board serves as an advisory body on matters pertaining to aquatics. 2022 USA Swimming Phillips 66 Nationals and Speedo Junior National Championships : Hosted the USA Swimming Senior and Junior National Championships in July and August 2022. The two weeks of events featured over 1,500 of the top aquatic athletes from across the country.  Learn to Swim Program: The program returned to pre-pandemic levels with increased demand for individual instruction versus group classes. Program growth continues with classes added on evenings and weekends to meet the exceptionally high demand.  William Woollett Jr . Aquatics Center Renovation: Installation of new plaster and tile for the Competition and Instructional pools and updated filtration and chemical systems for all pools. Installation of a facility access control system ensures a secure, safe experience for all guests. Accomplishments 
