FINE ARTS SUMMARY OF SERVICES

The Irvine Fine Arts Center offers a variety of classes and workshops for children, teens, and adults in ceramics, sculpture, culinary arts, drawing, painting, jewelry, photography, printmaking, and traditional arts such as mosaic, floral design, knitting, quilting, and sewing. Afterschool programs and arts camps are provided for youth, and the innovative Open Studio program provides an opportunity for individuals to work independently on their own art projects. The Fine Arts Center also offers multiple art exhibitions, opening receptions, and lectures. Innovative Programs: Presented exhibition and arts programming at four new City events: Spring Around the World, Juneteenth, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Fiesta Latina. Launched the Art at City Hall series with Old Towne Irvine, Chloe Jeongmyo Kim: Transplanted Panorama, and Suburban Ecologies exhibitions.  Statewide Award: Awarded 2021 California Park & Recreation Society Award of Excellence in the Marketing & Communications category for the Art Beat activity guide redesign.  Policy Additions : Created Arts Committee bylaws, and added sections for Public Art, Murals, and Donations to the Exhibition Policy.
