ANIMAL CARE SUMMARY OF SERVICES

The Irvine Animal Care Center (IACC) provides sheltering, care, and enrichment for homeless, neglected, abused, or unwanted animals. Services include animal licensing for Irvine residents, pet adoptions, Third Chance animal sheltering, and special events to support IACC and engage the pet owner community. The IACC provides advanced health care for animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and a variety of wildlife. The volunteer program supports foster care services, fundraising, special events, and daily operations such as animal exercise, socialization, and cleaning needs. Innovative Programs: Successfully implemented Smart Start and Good Pup programs providing fundamental dog training to support adoption of dogs identified as more difficult to adopt.  Community Engagement: Maintained 175 on-site volunteers and 100 active volunteers for the home-based animal Foster Care Program that fostered over 350 animals.  Improved Service Delivery: Implemented pet adoptions and other services by appointment, providing an improved customer experience while reducing animal stress.  Special Events: Hosted popular Super Pet Adoption event in June and Home for the Holidays in December with 3,550 attendees and resulting in 131 animal adoptions.
