STREET & RIGHT-OF-WAY MAINTENANCE SUMMARY OF SERVICES
The Street and Right-of-Way (ROW) Maintenance Division oversees in-house, contract, and consultant services related to the inspection and maintenance of road, sidewalk, drainage facilities, signage, and street marking infrastructure. Specific services include implementation and oversight of pavement management programs, asphalt and concrete surface survey and maintenance (e.g. including sidewalk grinding, pothole filling, ADA ramp installation), street sweeping and infrastructure cleaning, public drainage facility clearing, directional guide signs, traffic sign board messages, traffic management and control support for special events, and striping and marking within the City’s right -of-way. Accomplishments Executed a successful traffic control plan in conjunction with the United States Secret Service for President Biden’s visit to Irvine Valley College. Implemented an enhanced, proactive, four-year cycle concrete survey and grinding program. Completed repairs detected from a Rover Pothole Survey on all arterial streets.
