FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SUMMARY OF SERVICES

The Facilities Maintenance Division provides preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and inspection services for all City facilities and buildings. Notable facilities include the Civic Center, Operational Support Facility (OSF), Irvine Station, community centers, community and neighborhood parks, aquatic centers, and the Great Park. Specific services include, but are not limited to, maintenance of electrical, plumbing, life-safety, roofing, and HVAC systems; facility, park, and trail lighting; playground and athletic field equipment; pool maintenance; custodial and porter services; and the citywide graffiti abatement program. Developed and implemented a new Preventive Maintenance Crew to primarily focus on preventive maintenance of physical assets citywide; to date, they have completed over 2,000 work orders.  Completed over 2,000 safety inspections of city assets, including playgrounds, the Great Park carousel, and aquatic pools.  Managed 77 contracts totaling over $24 million.
