TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SUMMARY OF SERVICES

The Traffic Management Division operates the City's traffic signal system and manages signal synchronization efforts. The Division is also responsible for the City’s traffic circulation system, maintaining and implementing traffic control standards to ensure safety for the traveling public, responding to resident concerns regarding traffic flow, implementing corrective measures when appropriate, participating in traffic-related litigation, and operating the Irvine Traffic Management Center. Accomplishments  Implemented new synchronization timing for the Culver Drive/Bonita Canyon Road Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Project.  Implemented new synchronization timing for the Main Street Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Project.  Completed the design engineering phase for the Barranca Parkway/Muirlands Boulevard Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Project.  Implemented new synchronization timing for the recently widened University Drive.
