Launched an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) needs assessment project An Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) needs assessment project was launched with the primary stakeholders being the Human Resources (HR) and Administrative Services (AS) departments. The Request for Proposal (RFP) was awarded to a contractor who is partnering with the City’s IT, HR and AS Teams to review and assess the current applications used by the departments as part of the ERP landscape and to perform a fit-gap analysis on the needs and requirements for a new and modern ERP system by combining the disparate applications into one. Implemented an Information Technology Service Management system Implemented a new service management solution that has enabled the City’s IT division deliver a more flexible and service- oriented experience to the City technology users. This new system replaces the City’s legacy system, with a modern robust system that will streamline and standardize our processes and offer robust self-service capabilities, including an expanded Knowledge Base for self-help and the option to request assistance from a wide variety of available services Deployed an offline backup and analytics solution Deployed an offline backup and analytics solution to protect against ransomware and other cyber attacks. The solution allows the City to better protect valuable data and recover from a cyberattack quickly and efficiently by moving backups to an offline and immutable vault.
Focus Areas and Supporting Projects The STP supports core services and cost containment, while investing in strategic initiatives to better position the City and to leverage innovation and technology trends. In support of these directions, the following focus areas and strategic priorities were established:
