Mission Statement: The mission of the employees of the City of Irvine is to create and maintain a community where people can live, work, and play in an environment that is safe, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. The City of Irvine’s five values reflect the interests and needs of the community, and the level of service they expect and deserve.
One Irvine five values are:
Humility We place the needs of the team over individual self- interest. Innovation We do common everyday things in an uncommonly precise way, while remaining open to new ideas. Empathy We recognize the things we say and do have an impact on those around us, we use our engaging words and actions to bring people together, and we avoid behaviors that rip people apart. Passion We know how fortunate and lucky we all are to work for the City of Irvine and we bring a can-do attitude to our work. Integrity We do what we say we’re going to do, and hold ourselves accountable for living our values each and every day.
