Code Blue ’ s 30th Anniversary Happy 30th Anniversary to Code Blue! The Code Blue Program is an initiative in which police officers and residents work together to assist in crime prevention and intervention. As part of the City ’ s first community policing initiative, Code Blue serves as a force multiplier and has been instrumental in the significant reduction of crime. The Code Blue program serves as the umbrella organization for all of the following groups: Citizens on Patrol Program (COPs), Clergy and Police Alliance (CAPA), Code Blue at the School, Hispanic COP, Minis- ters Against Crime (MAC), Community Emergency Re- sponse Team (CERT), Citizens Police Academy (CPA), Citizens Police Academy Alumni (CPAA), and Teen Acad- emy. Community Events FWPD hosted and attended multiple community events throughout the City of Fort Worth. FWPD part- nered with community leaders and businesses to provide residents with opportunities to gather together. Events included a turkey give away, Shop With A Cop event at Walmart, safety fair, and a community coat drive.
