COMMITTEE OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:

Manage Performance Improvement: Averitt leadership manages policies, reviews, teams, trainings, metrics, and more to ensure that it continuously maintains top performance on social, labor, and environmental topics while setting and achieving new annual goals for improvements. Collect, Track, and Evaluate Material Metrics: We collect, track, evaluate, and adjust based on annual social, labor, and environmental metrics that are most material to Averitt and road transportation, using and reporting this data to achieve goals and maintain continuous improvement. Engage Partners for Performance Improvement: Averitt surveys and engages top suppliers on their social, labor, and environmental standards. We also partner with vendors and customers on developing, piloting, and deploying more sustainable solutions. Public Disclosure and Partner Communications: We are committed to transparency by publicly disclosing our management approach and results, adhering to global standards such as SASB, GRI, and GHG Protocol. We also prepare customer- and vendor-specific communications to improve sustainability of transportation.

CSR STEERING COMMITTEE The Executive Team delegates day-to-day responsibility for managing social and environmental impacts of the company to a CSR Steering Committee , which reports directly to President and COO Barry Blakely. This cross-functional group is composed of top-level leaders from throughout the company: Procurement, Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing and Communications, Safety and Compliance, IT, and Corporate Services. The committee was formed to embed sustainable and responsible business practices even more deeply into our operations. The CSR Steering Committee meets at least twice annually to review results and make decisions on continuous improvement.
