Snowdonia Winter Warmer MONDAY 13TH – FRIDAY 17TH NOVEMBER 2023 £584 Join us on this breath-taking holiday to Snowdonia National Park and discover magical winter scenery. Wintertime in Snowdonia is truly breath-taking. Visit the enchanting village of Betws-y-Coed nestled at the foot of the National Park, take a stroll around Caernarfon with its beautifully decorated shops dominated by Caernarfon Castle, recognised around the world as one of the greatest buildings in the Middle Ages and where Prince Charles was invested in 1969. Day 1 Depart home area making suitable refreshment stops. We visit the charming city of Lichfield for our lunch stop, then continue to our hotel with time to freshen up before our evening meal followed by entertainment. Day 2 We travel a short distance to Caernarfon dominated by its Castle, a medieval fortress. Browse the many independent shops and take some pictures of the amazing castle. We then continue to the enchanting Italianate style village of Portmeirion. The architecture and the location will be sure to capture your imagination. The restaurant and café will be open to obtain refreshments. Day 3 Enjoy a coastal ride along the Menai Strait to the charming town of Llandudno to take in the sites. Take a walk along the promenade (weather permitting) and visit the many delightful shops. Time to purchase lunch here before departing for Betws-y-Coed, situated on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Afterwards re-join the coach for a scenic ride through the Snowdonia National Park. Have your camera ready to take some pictures of the fantastic scenery. Day 4 Enjoy a free morning in Llanberis. Take the opportunity to visit The National Slate Museum (free entry). In the afternoon we join the coach for a visit to the Isle of Anglesey and visit Llanfair PG for that last minute gift to buy. Afterwards re-join the coach to RAF Valley, home to No. 4 Flying Training School, responsible for training the UK’s next generation of world-class fighter pilots. We can watch the aircraft from the public land adjacent to the airfield while in the comfort of a warm coach. Day 5 We return to home area making suitable comfort stops.

Blackpool Illuminations & The Lake District

Blackpool Illuminations, the biggest FREE light show on earth has become somewhat of an iconic part of British culture. At 10 kilometres long and using over one million bulbs the Blackpool Illuminations are an awesome spectacle. Day 1 Head to Morecambe making suitable comfort stops along the way. Day 2 After breakfast visit the Lake District, travel across the Kirkstone Pass to Keswick for lunch to be purchased. Afterwards we visit Bowness on Windermere, a truly delightful town. Free time to browse the shops and opportunity to enjoy a boat ride on Lake Windermere (price not included). Day 3 After breakfast join our driver for an optional scenic drive through the Forest of Bowland to Devil’s Bridge. There will be an early dinner served this evening before departing for the Blackpool Illuminations. One million lights over 10km make up the worldfamous Blackpool Illuminations an awesome spectacle. Day 4 After breakfast return to home area with suitable comfort stops, including free time in Stamford for lunch to be purchased. The pretty facades of the town are favourites with film and television producers - Stamford was used as ‘Meryton’ in the 2005 ‘Pride & Prejudice’ film, also featured in ‘Middlemarch’, ‘The Da Vinci Code’ and the ‘Golden Bowl’.
