Oklahoma’s public education ranking is dead last. Fewer days in class. Poor discipline. Poor reading proficiency . The good news? Oklahoma passed the Strong Readers Act. We’re taking a lesson from Mississippi. Mississippi legislated essentially the exact same reading model more than a dozen years ago. They fully implemented it. They committed to it long-term . They funded it properly. And now they are no longer last place in reading proficiency.
