Our Year 8 computing enrichment students recently participated in the ‘Your Voice is Power’ competition. Your Voice is Power is a national remix competition that introduces the fundamentals of computer science through an exploration of music and social change. Students used code written in Georgia Tech’s EarSketch platform to create an original song remix that promotes equity. Well done to Coco, Polly, Amelia, Grace, Sila, Alexa, Victoria and Eva for having their entries judged within the top 45 submissions!
The annual competition for Richmond Borough secondary schools took place at Twickenham School on Wednesday 5 July. The competition was tough but our students really enjoyed the event. They were enthusiastic and collaborative, worked brilliantly as a team; and were awarded a very close third place.
