THE

Curse of the mummy! Egyptologist

HOWARD CARTER Year 5 were taken back in time when they were visited by Howard Carter, the man who discovered Tutankhamun's tomb. He arrived in class, armed with his lamp and top hat, to see 92 excited and eager children. They couldn't believe how lucky they were to have such an important visitor in class and asked him lots of questions. He even brought his very own diary, which helped the children with their diary writing this week. What an informative morning, enjoyed by all... even Mr Kentish himself ! Thanks to Miss Monk for the story. POPPY APPEAL Jacob Hussein-Uppal in 4A attends WWSOC Beavers group. He spent the last two consecutive Saturdays selling poppies for Remberence day. He took part in the parade and was selected to represent his group to lay the wreath in front of the public, veterans and the local councillors. Thanks to Jacob’s mum for the story.

MODEL PUPIL

Kaycee Tanamal-Longmore (year 4A), has competed in this year’s LMI Birmingham Modelling Competition last Sunday at the Aston Villa Trinity Suite. She won the ‘Public Votes Award’ and ‘LMI model award’. She also raised £65.50 for ‘Help Harry Help Others’, and we would like to thank everyone who bought the bracelets she was selling on the school grounds for the past few weeks. Thanks to Kaycee’s dad for the story.
