Have cake and eat it! Super Sale

CAKE SALE SUCCESS The Friends of Abbey volunteers would like to thank all of you who so generously supported our Valentine’s Cake Sale before half term. We made £265 over both sites and ran out of cake – always a sign of excellent baking! Thank you to everyone who came and bought cake but an especially big ‘THANK YOU’ to all the children who made them. They looked amazing! There were two bakes that sold particularly fast; JJ Stranger from the infants & Charles Tate from the juniors. Well done you two. The prizes are on the way! With the money raised at the Christmas Fair and the cake sale, we are going to buy resources for the school which will make Abbey an even more fun place to learn. These include: stilts and bouncy hoppers for the playground; human body visual resources (the pull apart skeleton sounds the best thing ever!); pedometers; a Greek Feast for Y3 parents; basketballs and football goals; cooking utensils and equipment; art and craft materials. In addition to the money raised, we have received a very generous donation of £100 from an anonymous grandparent. Whoever you are, thank you for your gift. Our next event is just before Easter. Please come and support us again. It’s great that the children at Abbey can benefit from your generosity. Thanks to our FOA for the story
